Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Abu Dhabi, an amazingly impressive, thriving place with sparkling high-rises, immaculate landscaping, utopian cleanliness, very low crime rate and richness of offerings in shops, professions, homes and activities. Only 1.1 million people are in Abu Dhabi with 2.4 million in the entire country (27% are national Emiratis; 12% Arabs; 59% Asians and 1.3% Europeans). Obviously the small population enables the ruling families to invest large sums in the development of their emirates, seven in total with the president always coming from Abu Dhabi and the prime minister from Dubai.
