Jim and I enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Le Gourmet, owned by a stylish, middle-aged French woman. To start, I ate perfectly grilled goat cheese over a bed of lettuce and Jim devoured escargot sitting in mounds of garlic. Then for me pork medallions with green beans and grilled potatoes and capitaine with rice for Jim. Our dinner was as good as anything we’ve eaten since Europe and the wine – a Puilly Fuisse 1996 – washed everything down beautifully.
