We’re now preparing for Africa and organizing visas. We went to a visa service this morning and realized how much we have to do in order to gain access to Africa. Some visas we’ll pick up in Brussels, some in Paris and some in Morocco. Today we filled out forms for Mali, Ghana, Mauritania, Cameroon and Burkina Faso. Even though we have cars, Nigeria requires return flight tickets in order to gain visas (they must own part of airline, yes?) and another country requires US $50 per day in traveler’s checks for each person up-front before visas will be issued. We have much work in store.
