Raffles Hotel bartender Ngiam Tong Boon created the famed Singapore Sling at the turn of the twentieth century. He made the concoction pink since women were the intended drinkers of his punch-like, although potent drink. Sadly today bartenders at Raffles do not mix the Singapore Sling from scratch, instead meeting high demand from a pre-mixed creation.

Recipe:
30 ml gin
15 ml cherry brandy
120 ml pineapple juice
15 ml lime juice
7.5 ml Cointreau
7.5 ml Dom Benedictine
10 ml grenadine
Garnish with a slice of pineapple and cherry
