Born 10 November 1968, Paige grew up in Rocky Mount, North Carolina and later attended Salem College receiving a BA degree in English and communications in 1991.
She began her career at Queens College in Charlotte working in public relations and fundraising, before moving to New York to join Cosgrove Associates as director of business development.
